Color Inspiration

Hello, ladies!
Today, I would like to share my new canvas projects for Dusty attic and Lindys stamp gang July challenge with you and hope it will inspire you.
I love Heat embossing with Ranger gold Tinsel! We can make a beautiful texture effects with it.

First of all I prepared my canvas with a coat of white gesso.

Next, I created texture effect with Prima stencil and colors using 3 variety of Lindy's mists watered down on the canvas to get just the effect I wanted.

And added some drops of colors from the mists bottle nozzle were the finishing touch.

After all I wanted random stamping to be in specific places, I decided to do that next before moving embellishing on my canvas

I did heat embossing on Dusty attic chipboard.

Used Lindy's mists

Hope you enjoyed my project! This one came together quick and easy!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

My first DT post for Crafters corner Mixed media Cottage

Good morning, everyone!
Today is a new beginning for me!!! NOW i see nothing but a shiny and creative future!!
I have a very colorful project to share with you , I created this lovely mixed media MDF cottage as my debut project for the Crafters Corner Design Team!!! I still can't believe I made one of the team member. I am so honored and excited with all the projects I will be creating throughout this year, In sha Allah. I hope you will follow me and find inspiration along the way :)

I altered Kaisercraft MDF cottage and turned it into a garden house complete with a spanish moss. Lots of texture paste, stencil work, sand paste, flowers and resin frames etc add to the garden home concept.

I really loved this cottage design and was saving it for a special project . For this I used loads of different material like chipboard pieces as well as mdf cut designs, metal miniature, burlap lace etc and some of spray paints and blooms. I always find different look when it comes to mixed media.

I took quite a few photos ;-) to try to convey all the beauty of this project to you.

I love this idea and I hope you all get inspired to Create Amazing Art!!!

as always, I am forever grateful that you decided to pop over and visit!

Mini Beach art

Hello everyone and for those of you who are here for the first time, hello again.
It being the middle of June, several new challenges are starting and at Dusty attic the theme is "Beach".
I decorated tray box for this challenge:

Now I have to confess, I really struggled with this theme, as really I have no nautical supplies, as it is not a theme that is particularly close to me. I found I did not even have some shells

So where to start? I rummaged about in my stash and found this little anchor, grass from Dusty attic chipboards. Its a lovely gift... from Dusty attic challenge prize pack. I really want to win again. I also had the little metal embellishments and then I had the netting, after all i decided to buy shells for more decoration.

Well, I started by adding some random texture using palate knife to my box, like wavy design and when it had dried, spary it with 2 various Cosmic Shimmers mists.

Then I arranged my embellishments along the bottom adhering them with gel medium.

I can't say I am totally happy with the final result, I wish I'd had some more Dusty attic chipboaards to add, but time was running short, the weather pretty cold, rainy days and sadly there was no time to go to the beach.

Well, there you have it, hope you'll decide to play along with this natural challenge.

SSHhhh.......I will have some news about DT news announced soon though!

I dedicate this lovely project to you, my lovely blog friends, who always take the time to visit and leave me comments. Thank you for doing so and this is my wish for you!
Cheers Suz!

Cute bottle art

Hi everyone! It is Suzna and I have a mixed media bottle to share. I have altered an small cute 7up juice glass bottle…it is about 7 inches tall. This is tell you how I create texture and color for backgrounds…its basically the same way do in canvas.

  • The first thing is to give it a coat of black Gesso…I have used Prima marketing. Heat set or let dry.
  • Next I coverd the gesso with a coat of Prima sand paste.
  • My next step I painted thin layer of white gesso
  • Then painted with Fabrica's Gold metallic powder and Burnt umber
  • Now i added all embellishments.
  • And i used Ranger glossy accent inside the small photo frame.

Most of the things i bought it from Crafters corner online store.

Thank you for stopping by,
I hope you've enjoyed my creation,

Creative mood

Hi everyone.
I have another project for you! Mixed media canvas with Prima mica powders and Dusty attic chipboards, this is something I use to experiment with different techniques and trying new coloring styles.

Mixed media is so much fun, if you haven't tried with mica powders, I encourage you to go for it! You can't go wrong with this technique, anything goes! In fact under all that Gesso are bright colorful flowers.

Altered Lantern

Hi everyone, i'm back again.....
Here is one of my new creation I finished putting together today. I found this hanging Lantern with the stand near my home at shopping mall, I bought this cute white lantern for 250/- and even though it looks great with a candle inside I knew I wanted to alter it! I love Home goods and sure wish we had one here!

I added a sweet little baby angel in the middle. I also added some red, pink, white and yellow shades blossoms. I also used some lace for background design

At first I painted with white gesso (Prima), After drying i added a little Modeling paste (Prima) mixing with white sand (Prima), which made nice texture look. I liked it but it wasn't what I was looking for. So I mixed some more white gesso with mini art stones (Prima) and start coloring with mica powder (Prima Lipstick). Then I used my walnut distress ink to edges  it down a bit just in spots. And i used Lindy's gold shade spray to Lantern corner.

As you can see I painted part of it a inka gold color, its dry brushed color and that seem to give it a patina look.

I had so much fun altering this one, I hope you like how I did this one.
Thanks for stopping by and ya'll have a Blessed evening!
 Hugs, Suzna
